Michael had been acting for the past 16 years and decided he wanted to help out his fellow thespians by writing a book. His chosen subject was audition tips for actors because he felt that, having attended many Disney actor auditions himself, he wanted to pass on the knowledge he had gained.

As Mike began to research his chosen subject, he found that there were any number of sites on the Internet providing the sort of information he was looking to impart. He saw little or no sense in reinventing the wheel. Therefore, he decided to approach his chosen subject from a different angle. Instead, he set out to target those that were considering entering the world of theatre, film and television, and tell the story of how he became an actor himself. His idea was that many people don’t have a clue where to start.

Michael had embarked on this career when he was in his mid forties with little or no experience, just a desire to do something different and earn money at the same time. He served his “apprenticeship” as an extra. Many people believe extras only work in television and the movies but this is not true. They also work in the world of photography.

Mike got his name registered with a lot of casting agents and bookers, and attended as many open auditions for actors as possible. As his workload picked up, he grew in confidence. He progressed to going for “feature artist” vacancies. This could best be described as halfway between an extra and an actor, a stepping stone if you will.

From here, it was only natural to decide it was time to go for some speaking parts. At this time he also applied for his Equity card, as for many jobs this was a prerequisite. Michael did not rush into putting himself forward for roles beyond his capabilities, but instead opted to try out initially for those with one or two lines of dialogue. In fact, his first speaking part was as a pub landlord in The Bill, where he said “Alright Guvnor.”

That was many years ago, and his parts have increased as have the number of words he gets to speak. He has not had any lead roles to date but he still hopes to break into the big time. So although Mike could not add to the myriad of sites giving audition tips for actors, perhaps his story may motivate others to follow him into the profession.

Most aspiring actors fail to get a role because of poor preparation to audition. If one is among these, it is vital for one to be adequately prepared before going for other open auditions for actors. Understanding the process of auditions might help you to prepare yourself. The first step that directors take is to create a vision or profile for each character on a given script. One can do this by visualizing an actor who has played the role well before. Aim to understand the underlying personality and goals of the characters. Perhaps one can even work with the screenplay writer to come up with a short biography of the character. This biography later becomes a valuable addition to actors as they prepare for their roles.

Next, directors form a description of the actors they are looking for. They express in writing the physical description of the actor and personality or psychological description. Type casting is the best casting. Though most actors might hate the concept, it is often true. Auditions for actors with no experience can play are role as long as it is who they are. Directors look for actors who generally match the character’s appearance, life experiences and personality. Therefore, before auditioning for a role, make sure you meet these requirements otherwise you will be up for disappointment. Nevertheless, directors keep an open mind and sometimes they can give a role to a superb actor who will bring something very special to the role. An excellent example of this is the characters from Disney actor auditions.

Another step in the audition tips for actors process is that the story characters undergo some character arc in order that they will not end up being the character they started out to be. The last step is selecting the pages or lines from the script that actors will read during auditions. The pages are always sent to the actors in advance. It is important for an actor to carefully look at the lines and know them by heart if they are to get the role.

The directors will tell how much the actors want the role by observing how well the actors know their lines. Normally, the directors pick scenes from the sides that will make the actor display a full range of emotions. The synopsis of the story is usually sent together with the side so actors should make sure they have read it as well. If the actor is confident of getting the role, he can even ask for the entire script, which will be provided. The actors as well as the directors should be honest, open and friend to each other right from the beginning. These are just few tips of becoming a good actor or director.

Many people wonder what it takes to make it through an audition. Many people dream of becoming actors but most do not understand the first thing about making it in actor auditions. However, new actors should not be dismayed because it is not as hard as someone might think. The most notable thing to acknowledge is that one is talented and has a lot to offer. Confidence is very important and self-doubt will not help in such a situation.

Turn all the focus to the strengths and get relaxed. Concentrate on the presentation be it a monologue or a story, and make the best out of it. One must not forget to take the audition seriously because this is the actors’ job interview. In case there are acting casting calls, make sure to check out the venue, the format, and other details that may give you prior knowledge, to help you to prepare in a better way. Remember the aim is to outshine the opposition and anything that can help is an added advantage.

Here are audition tips for actors, one should consider before going for an audition.

· Will one be performing as a group or with others? This is to give the group a chance to do the last-minute touches on the presentation. This is also to iron out any errors before one goes before the panelist.

· It is also essential to be informed on the longest time allowed to perform and how many performances are required from each participant, to decide on how to make a strong impression for the time given.

· You should also find out if there are scripts that will be out before hand, to avoid an embarrassing cold reading. This would help in rehearsing and familiarizing yourself with it before facing the judges.

· You should be extremely creative should you be asked to create a monologue. Practice in front of others and hear out the critics positively. It is always a convenient idea to practice with experienced actors because friends and family usually tend to sugar coat the truth and one might end up getting false hopes. Harsh but real and helpful comments will help you to grow instead of handing you biased opinions because they love you.

· Know who the judges and directors are so that you can acknowledge them and appreciate them before and after the performance.

· Be particularly attentive and do not ask the panelist to repeat instructions or comments repeatedly as this will go to show lack of attentiveness or sharpness.

If you are to follow the basic instructions above, the chances of you finding lucrative careers in acting auditions for actors with no experience may increase dramatically. Always remember that a rejection does not mean that one is not a talented actor.

Sometimes it can really get intimidating to be out there and to try out for roles when you are still inexperienced or have very little experience but you really want to win the role. Here are several audition tips for actors you should practice, even if you cannot provide a highly impressive resume. You can still gain the attention of casting directors, auditions for actors with no experience is possible to come across.

During the actor auditions process, you have to be on time. Since you are still an inexperienced actor, you cannot expect them to wait for you. In this kind of profession being late is never an excuse. It is not something that you can justify. As an actor, you have to be on time for the very first day because this would show that you can arrive on time during rehearsals and shoot dates and would reduce the stress on your part because you would be given a chance to prepare and calm your nerves before the audition process stars.

Make sure that you bring your headshot and your resume.

Make copies because you will never know who is watching you and who would be interested with your performance. Even before going there, you need to practice the lines, memorize it. You need to be ready for the moment when they will ask you to do several things that you have not even trained for. The best way is to prepare at least 3 months before auditioning and to learn as much as you can about your abilities and what you need to improve. Post some videos and get the feedback of strangers and experts as well as trusted and honest friends who will be able to guide you.

Even if some of the casting directors are rude to you, maintain respect.

You will never know if they are just testing your nerves. You would rather have them notice you than ignore you completely. Do not let any criticisms during the performance affect you and just continue until asked to stop.

Never let rejection conquer you instead take the criticisms that you will hear. Reflect on it and put some efforts in improving to be able to perform more roles. Practice all these audition tips for actors and try every possible move that you can do in order to get noticed in auditions for actors with no experience. Get your career started even by print modeling and commercial modeling.

Disney has produced some of the best talents and top earning celebrities that we know nowadays, such as Zac Efron from the movie High School Musical, Miley Cyrus who has a long standing show that is still being aired: Hannah Montana as well as Demi Lovato who has come up with several hits songs and continues to dominate the Disney Channel production. Becoming a part of Disney is one of the best ways to become famous. Countless stars have benefited from them like Hilary Duff who has transitioned into becoming a musician herself after her contract was finished from Disney Channel.

Disney holds open auditions for actors every now and then. They are out to find the next big star and by trying the Disney actor auditions you get the chance at the stardom that you have always wanted. If you have always wanted to become a Disney star, then it’s time to convince your parents that you have a future in it.

You need to go to Burbank, California where the Disney Channel headquarters is located.

You need to secure a meeting with Judy Taylor, the VP casting for the Disney Channel. This woman is very busy. You need to get her attention. Do this by getting in contact with some of their staff, secretaries, interns and even their security personnel. But the best way to get her attention is to get a schedule for the open auditions for actors at Disney so you can get it legally and follow the process of how things work at Disney productions.

You need to practice your acting skills, preferably knowing how to make people laugh like Miley Cyrus. Practice your dance moves as well as singing because Disney likes an overall star that is capable of everything like Brenda Song, Raven Symone and the Jonas Brothers. This means you have to work on your personality and the way you dress up. You need to be fresh, friendly and motivated. Disney stars have to be outgoing and would need to present an earth shattering audition. Remember that there are many people who are beautiful. You have to win them by talent.

Before even attempting to join open auditions for actors, you need to make sure that you have done countless performances in your school and some theatre performance work. You also need to practice using YouTube and other social media sites to get their attention. Make viral videos and once you have done so, there is a chance that the Disney directors would be the one looking for you in Disney actor auditions.

Actors are born, and the job requires a skill set that can be identified and be developed with proper coaching. Some personal traits are required for success as an actor, whose job can include creating magical moments that seem realistic.

Audition tips for actors a good actor or actress must be able to concentrate. Playing the part of someone else can be crucial. In many instances, it takes time and effort to get into character. Minor distractions can often lead to a loss of focus and the character may no longer seem real or believable.

Actor are learners: audition for actors an acting can be a difficult to the unprepared. What may seem as simple and effortless may have been developed with years of practice. Actors must be good listeners, because they must interact with others. It is absolutely essential that they communicate and react to the actions of other people.

They should also be excellent communicators. Communication can be spoken or with actions, but is imperative that actors be effective communicators.

Actors must be disciplined. Despite the stories that may abound about the lifestyles of the rich and famous, successful mus have the ability to be disciplined. There are routines that must be followed effectively, throughout production periods and any deviation can dramatically changed the outcome. Actors are required to remain in character both, physically and emotionally, and this requires a lot of discipline.

Actors must be able to express emotion freely and impulsively, using both the body and the voice. One of the jobs assumed by the actor is to create unforgettable moments and a vivid imagination is often necessary. Actors are also good story tellers through expression and should be able to emote whenever necessary. This implies a lack of self-consciousness, but it can be seen as more as a lacking the display of self conscious behavior, as some actors can also be very private persons.

Actors must be imaginative. The imaginary people we develop as kids can ad a lot to careers. Dreams have been known to come true and hard work is required to develop and connect to your imagination. Imagination is fuel that drives the actions.

Finally, the ability to express requires that great actors have a flexible and expressive voice, connecting a highly developed imagination to a flexible and supportive body. All of these characteristics can be developed to some degree with proper training, but the innate ability should pre-exist.

Before you avail yourself for the auditions, here are some of the things you should expect:

1. Read the whole script and make sure that you understand it. You will be required to grasp the character you would be representing; and how he/she relates with other characters in the film. It is expected of you to show the different attitudes your role has towards other characters that relate with him/her in the act. Also, knowing your character’s role would be important and don’t be afraid to read from the script if you miss out on a few words; but don’t overdo it.

2. Mind your behaviour. Most of us have particular mannerisms which may not be acceptable at the auditioning room. Some of them are chewing gum, talking too much and forgetting your instructions, touching the director or any of his/her possessions, smoking and so on. You may be used to them; but it’s advisable to shun these behaviours or else you may piss off the casting director and therefore not stand a chance.

3. Show respect to everyone in the room for auditions for actors. When you enter the audition centre, there may be one or two people who you may easily recognize, but also complete strangers can be present. These people may be the stylist, camera man and may be a representative from a particular acting organization. To test you, the representative may wear shabby clothes such that you may be tempted to assume the person’s of no good. Then he may wait till all the others have asked you their questions and then ask you a very simple question. If you reply rudely or mockingly, most probably you’ll be shown the door.

4. Be brief and do what’s expected of you. By the time it’s your turn to be auditioned, the panel would already be tired since other people had already passed through them. Make their job simple by giving a very brief introduction of yourself and offer your best performance at the shortest time possible. Avoid repeating words or saying things that don’t make sense as this may be an indication of nervousness.

5. Always be prepared for acting auditions. The panel may direct you to do something that you didn’t think of; for example, they may want you to run around the podium in a particular manner or laugh in a particular style. Always be ready for the unexpected as they may want to test whether you may be creative enough to fill some blank spaces on the character they have chosen for you.

6. Stage presence. Try to be part and parcel of those you are working with. Remember the panel has taken its time to assess you and they need to be treated deservingly. Answer the questions they ask you and laugh with them when they crack joke, but also be aware as they may be testing you. Just do anything to show them that you are there with them and not day dreaming.

Finally, when signing out of the audition centre don’t forget to thank the people who assisted you. These are the people you talked to from the time you came to when you leave the premise. Also, make sure you sign out your name as this may be used to check the amount of time you spent at the auditions.

Auditions are an important stepping stone in the career of an actor. It is a vital process that almost every actor should go through. The first thing that should be done in order to get the audition is that either your agent or you should submit the resume and headshot to the director. You should be invited to attend actor auditions. It is important to know that if you have been invited for an audition, you shall be given a script to present. It is recommended that you should have a prepared monologue that you can present during the auditions.

When you are provided with a script, you should first go through it and prepare for the session. You should research a lot of details regarding the character that you will be acting. You should exert a lot of effort on the character. This is because you can be asked many questions regarding the character. Some details that you should know regarding the character include the age, the origin and the perception of the character towards other characters. You can start memorizing the lines of the script after knowing almost everything about the character. You can use any method that you are comfortable with in order to memorize the lines. It is important to be prepared for the auditions.

The dress code is another important aspect of the auditions. It is essential that you should wear clothes that give the true reflection of the character. For example, you should not wear a suit when you are playing a cowboy character. The best outfit for this character can be boots and a pair of jeans. Before going for the auditioning session, it is important that you should do some warm ups. The warm ups will help you to relax. You can do some little exercises and then repeat your lines. Warm ups helps to reduce the tension and prevents you from becoming nervous. Ensure that you go to the audition location as early as possible so that you can familiarize with the environment. You should register in the audition and wait for your session.

You should be equipped with information during the acting audition as the acting director can ask you anything. Something that can be helpful is that you should not talk the audition panel very serious. Be friendly with the panel and ask for further clarification for a question that you did not understand. You should give your best performance. Remember that the first impression is very important and it can help to get a chance. Your goal should be to convince the director that you are the best person for the character. It is important to know that the auditioning panel usually looks for the best person who can represent the character effectively. You should not suck up when reading a script for movie auditions at acting.

Have you ever wondered why some people make it through in auditions; while others get shown the door? Then wonder no more. The main reason behind success and failure is on how well the audition judges can reflect and interpret your performance to meet their expectations. The following are a few of the things most judges look for in acting auditions:

1) Ability to show a wide range of emotions. Judges at the auditions for actors would expect you to move with the tune; this means that when it is time to show shock open your eyes as wide as you can and place your hand at the mouth. On the other hand, grief can be expressed by showing deep thought and sadness. However, try as much as possible not to look at the floor while expressing grief. This is because the director won’t be able to see your face. When you smile don’t just smile with your mouth but let it also show in your eyes that you are genuinely happy. Your eyebrows can also be used to express happy feelings; tilted brows show genuine enthusiasm as opposed to flat brows.

2) Ability to bond with other actors both on and off camera. As an actor you will not be at the movie alone; the ability to relate well with your fellow actors shows maturity and a desire to learn from others. Treat other actors the way you would also like them to treat you. This would reflect on camera as many actors would offer to shoot videos with you.

3) Spontaneity. This is the ability to be unpredictable in your acts. Make your audience always trying to figure out which kind of a person you are due to your different reactions to similar situations. Judges prefer people who have multiple personalities because they make the show much more interesting.

4) Sometimes experience counts. Experience shows that you have first hand information of what is required of you. Also, the more experienced you are, the less likely your chances of making mistakes. This is the main reason why different movies refer to the same actors to do their acts. If you are a totally new actor at the auditions, try to make good movies with your friends before showing up at the panel.

5) Easy to work with. Acting judges prefer people who are able to grasp concepts easily and follow simple instructions. Don’t be the kind of person who always asks them to repeat what they had already told you. If you have a hearing problem, tell them earlier so that they can be prepared to handle you.

6)A good match for the part they are casting. This has to do with the kind of personality you have. If they are casting a rogue person then you have to indicate roughness and a rude attitude. Even if you are good on screen, if you don’t match the character they are looking for, just don’t show up for the auditions.
